Samridhdhi Trust’s bridged students who appeared for SSLC this year passed with flying colours. Eight children had appeared the exam and all of them passed in the first division with Shivakumar topping with 91%, Nagarjun 87%, and Manoj 85%
All these children were “not in school” about 6 years back and are all first generation learners. They had gone through one year of Samridhdhi Bridge Program and had been inducted to mainstream school about 4-5 years back. They all live in and around Brookefield /Whitefield area in Bangalore. Most of them had migrated from different parts of India like UP, Bihar, Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra. They come from very humble families, some of their parents work as construction labour, domestic help, security guard, waste picker, petty shop keeper and do other menial jobs. All of them were students of The Brilliant School where they were mainstreamed by Samridhdhi. They were supported by Samridhdhi After School Program everyday and half of their annual school fees was paid by Samridhdhi.

In addition to the above, another Samridhdi bridge student, Barnita Mondal had scored a whopping 95% in PUC II last year, cracked CET and now she is an Engineering (Computer Science) student.
Three students who appeared for PUC II year (Science and Commerce) this year also passed – two of them in the first division and one in the second division.
These amazing children are the future of our nation who are being helped by Samridhdhi to use education as a tool to fight the cycle of poverty, illiteracy and unemployment.
