Selected candidates to represent Mysuru Warriors in KPL 2017 


Karnataka, July 27, 2017:  In line with its vision to nurture sporting talent in the hinterlands of Karnataka, agarbathi to aerospace conglomerate, NR Group, the owners of Mysuru Warriors announced their fourth edition of Talent Hunt in Mysuru and Bangalore on July 29, 2017, SDNR Stadium and Just Cricket Academy respectively.

The shortlisted players will play open net on July 30, 2017, PET Cricket Ground, PES College Campus, Mandya, Karnataka – 571401.

The talent hunt is specially organized for KSCA registered talents from KSCA registered clubs in entire Karnataka, as a lot of potential lies in the state when it comes to Cricket.  The talent hunt aims to foster fresh cricketing talent and subsequently coach and nurture them. This initiative of Mysuru Warriors is an opportunity for players to enter the professional cricketing arena. The selected players will get a chance to represent Mysuru Warriors and play at the upcoming KPL 2017 powered by Cycle Pure Agarbathies.

Speaking about the Talent Hunt, Mr. Arjun Ranga, Owner, Mysuru Warriors said, “NR Group has always believed in nurturing talent in sports, be it cricket or any other sports.  We are proud to host the talent hunt and it is a pleasure to give players a chance to represent Mysuru Warriors.  Through this Talent Hunt, we intend to spot good cricketers and provide them a platform to grow and prove themselves.”


In the first edition of Talent Hunt last year 5 players were selected and they went on to hitch a mark for themselves in the state cricket team arena. Mysuru Warriors Captain Mr. Manish Pandey has carved a niche for himself in the international cricket arena. Mr. J. Suchith and Goutham K of the key players of Mysuru Warriors team was instrumental in the winning of Mumbai Indian team.

The Talent Hunt begins at 8.00 am and players from registered club under KSCA will compete in the selection process. The players are advised to carry with them their KSCA statistics of last two years and their kits.  The ball will be provided.

Modeled on the lines of IPL, the 20-20 tournament is organized by the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) and will witness the competition between 8 teams.  Started in 2009, the Karnataka Premier League is now in its sixth season which will commence in the month of September 2017.
